President Goodluck Jonathan has reportedly said that the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari can’t possibly change the country if he can’t remember his own mobile phone number.

Jonathan is said to have stated this on Friday, January 9, during a rally in Enugu State.

The president made the statement in response to Buhari’s promise to revive the economy of Nigeria.

“Is it now that Buhari cannot even remember his own phone number that he can change the economy of the country?” Jonathan reportedly asked.

The president stated that Buhari had a chance to change the lot of the country when he was in power from 1983 to 1985 but failed.

Jonathan also read parts of a speech made by former Head of State, Ibrahim Babangida on August 27, 1985 after the latter overthrew Buhari’s regime to buttress his point that the APC candidate does not keep his promises.
